Mona Faye (Holland) Seidel, 93, passed away at 1:43 pm on October 6, 2026 at Prairie Village Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on August 15, 1933 in Daviess County the daughter of Alvin and Esther (Wade) Holland. 

Mona graduated from the Academy Immaculate Conception in Ferdinand, Indiana in 1951. Mona married Carl J. Seidel on June 15, 1957 and he preceded her in death on February 22, 2015. She is also preceded in death by her daughter Deidra K. (Seidel) Schleicher who passed on June 25, 2009. Mona's parents and her sister Doris (Holland) Greenwell also preceded her in death. 

Surviving is a sister, Sharon (Holland) Hedinger of Hart, MI; her grandsons, Adam Schleicher of Nashville, TN and Erik Schleicher and his fiancé Jess Briner of Vincennes, IN. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mona was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and was the recipient of the Simon Brute award that is awarded from the Diocese of Evansville. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabelle and volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul. She was employed by Indiana Bell Telephone Company for thirteen years and retired from Old National Bank after twenty four years as a teller. Mona also had a passion for baking for the community for over forty years.

Friends may visit with Mona's family from 11:00 am until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State Street, Washington, IN 47501. Yvonne Evans will officiate and Mona will be laid to rest next to her husband Carl in St. John Catholic Cemetery.
