Murl Edward Emmons

Murl E. Emmons, 87, of Vincennes, Indiana passed away April 13, 2026. He was born in Decker Chapel, Indiana on February 10, 1939, to the late Murl H. and Catherine F. Emmons. Murl graduated from Lincoln High School in 1957. He worked for 26 years at GE as a laborer before retiring. In his early years, Murl enjoyed playing sports. He was a member of the local Moose Lodge. Later in life, Murl's hobbies changed and he enjoyed playing poole, fishing, hunting mushrooms and ginseng root, watching the 3 stooges and IU Basketball and football. He will be deeply missed.

Murl is preceded in death by his parents Murl H. and Catherine F. Emmons; siblings Marvin E. Emmons, Richard Emmons, Carol Fields, and Donna Donovan.

He is survived by his sisters Jana Wolf, Rita Emmons, Cathy Emmons, and Karen Smith; along with several nieces and nephews.

Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Emmons. Services will be held at a later date.
