Naomi Jo
Tromley
Nov 8, 1934 — Oct 2, 2026
Vincennes
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Naomi Jo Tromley, who departed this life peacefully on October 2, 2026, at the age of 91. A beloved mother, devoted community member, and cherished friend, Naomi leaves behind her loving son, Bruce (Susan) Tromley , along with several nieces and nephews.
Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, Marlan Tromley, and her siblings: sister Nancy Kays and brother Bob Small, as well as her parents, Kale and Josie Small. Throughout her life, Naomi embodied kindness, resilience, and a passion for learning and community involvement. She was employed for 22 years at Vincennes University in the Entomology Research Department of Agriculture, where her dedication to education left a lasting impact. She subsequently worked at Charlie's Smorgasbord and the Indianapolis Stress Center for teens, before contributing her time and talents at the Bicknell Country Club Pro Shop.
An avid golfer, bridge player, and reader, Naomi enjoyed an active lifestyle and engaged in numerous clubs at both the state and local levels, fostering friendships and community connections.
Friends may visit with the family on October 7, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home in Vincennes. Services will begin at 1:00 pm, also at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Marlan.
In our grief, we reflect on the joy Naomi brought into our lives, and we invite all who knew her to join us in celebrating her remarkable journey and the love she shared with us all. She will be profoundly missed but her spirit will remain a guiding light in our hearts.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Naomi and her family.
