Jacob McCarter Myers, 15, of 906 Nixon Square passed away on at 4:45 a.m. Sunday February 16, 2014 at his residence.He was born June 7, 1998 in Washington, Indiana to Bon and Brandy (Black) Myers.Jacob was a freshman at Lincoln High School where he participated in the ROTC program and Higher Bound. He was a member of the Bethlehem General Baptist Church.Surviving are his parents of Vincennes; a brother, Brennen McCarter-Myers; two sisters, Brelynn McCarter-Myers and Nevaeh McCarter-Myers all of Vincennes; his grandparents, Marvin and Gaye McCarter of Vincennes, Carla Myers and her fiance' Tony "Pops" Wright of Sullivan; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Chuck Myers.A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Pete White officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ROTC program at Lincoln High School.
