Nile R. Barnes, 83, of Monroe City, passed away at 6:30 pm Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Willoe Manor.He was born October 23, 1936 in Vincennes, Indiana to Nile and Thelma (Kessinger) Barnes Sr.Nile retired from Vincennes University as a groundskeeper. He belonged to the Vincennes Masonic Lodge #1 and the Moose.Surviving are his children Mark Barnes and his wife Carolyn of Monroe City, John Robert Barnes of Evansville, and Brittany Nicole Brown of Maine; along with his five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son Mathew D. Barnes.Private graveside services will be conducted at the Hazleton Community Cemetery. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is entrusted with his arrangements
