Born on April 29, 1932, in Vincennes, Indiana, Norma was the beloved daughter of Artie Seals (Hanover) and Noah Seals. She spent many years working in local factories before she and her devoted husband, Lester Ray Neighbors, fulfilled a dream by purchasing Les & Jean’s Union Tavern, which they proudly owned and operated for approximately 50 years. Through hard work, dedication, and kindness, they built not only a successful business but also lasting friendships throughout the community.

Norma (Jean) embraced life with enthusiasm. She loved taking shopping trips, hunting for treasures while thrifting, and attending concerts. She had a remarkable work ethic and remained active well into her later years, inspiring everyone who knew her with her determination and independence.

Above all, Norma (Jean) treasured her family. She took great pride in her role as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and caregiver. Her love, wisdom, and unwavering support touched generations, and the memories she created with those she loved will be carried on forever.

She leaves behind her loving son, Tracy Neighbors; her grandson, Aaron Neighbors; her granddaughter, Savannah Williams (Bobby); her cherished great-grandchildren, Azalea Williams, Bobby Williams III, Leighton Williams, and Kyzer Williams; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Norma (Jean) was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Lester Ray Neighbors; five sisters; and two brothers.

Norma’s life was one of perseverance, compassion, and unconditional love. Though she will be greatly missed, her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who was blessed to know her. Her family finds comfort in knowing she has been reunited with those who went before her and that her love will remain with them always.
