Patrica Ann Wuertz, 82, of Washington, Indiana, passed away surrounded by her loving family on January 15, 2026, at the Villages at Oak Ridge in Washington.

She was born on December 1, 1943, to the late Roy & Melvina (Elmore) Cone, in Montgomery, Indiana.

Patricia was a graduate of Washington High School. On July 2nd, 1961, she married the love of her life, Darrell R. Wuertz, and they spent over sixty-two years together before his passing in 2023.

Patricia was a member of Bethany Christian Church in Washington. In her free time, she enjoyed camping and travelling around the country. She loved cooking and especially loved shopping. Some may call her the “clearance rack queen”. She cherished spending time with her family and friends, particularly her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell R. Wuertz; her parents, Roy & Melvina Cone; and her sister, Linda Hogle.

Patricia is survived by her son, Randy (Cortnea) Wuertz; her grandchildren, Drake Wuertz, Cecelia Wuertz, and Ruby Wuertz; and her great-grandchildren, Sophia, Brayden, Matthew, Roman, and Malachi Wuertz.

Visitation for Patricia has been re-scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 11:00am-12:00pm ET at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home 2020 State St., Washington, Indiana 47501. A celebration of life will follow at 12:00pm with Pastor Ron Raymond officiating. Due to the winter weather, Patricia will be buried next to her husband Darrell at Bethany Cemetery at a later date.
