With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Patsy Ann Parmenter, 77, beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and passionate educator. Patsy was born on March 4, 1948, in Vincennes, Indiana, the daughter of James and Edith O. (Klein) Campbell. Patsy departed this world on September 1, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Professionally, Patsy played many roles. She worked as a legal secretary, a Kindercare manager and was the executive secretary to the co-directors of the Indiana University Cyclotron facility while her husband completed law school. Her real passion however was education. She earned a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Indiana State University and taught in the Evansville-Vanderburgh School System. After returning to Vincennes, she served as a school resource officer and later was the manager of her husband’s law office.
In her personal life, Patsy was a vibrant soul full of creativity and enthusiasm. As a member of the Garden Club, she thrived as a Purdue Master Gardener, nurturing both her garden and the friendships she cultivated. She found joy in knitting, crafting, and sewing, often sharing her handmade creations with those she loved. An adventurous spirit, Patsy delighted in hiking, cycling, and golfing, and she shared many beautiful travels with her husband, Matt. She loved animals, especially dogs, and they loved her.
Above all, Patsy cherished her time with family, especially her daughter Ivy and granddaughter, Fallon, both of whom brought her immeasurable joy. She also found immense happiness in the company of her sisters and a close circle of friends, aka the Honies. Her laughter and warmth will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband, Matthew Parmenter of Vincennes; daughter, Ivy Badini and her husband Brian of Mount Dora, FL; sisters, Nancy Woolsey and her husband Steve of Jasper, IN, Trudy Holbrook and her husband Jon of Greenwood, IN and her granddaughter, Fallon Badini. Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, James Campbell and Edith O. Martin.
