It is with profound sorrow we announce the passing of Raymond John West. Ray was the absolute best father and grandpa, who never missed anything important in the lives of his kids and grandkids.

He was a volunteer firefighter, carpenter and cabinet maker. We cherish his beautiful woodwork that is showcased in our homes and many others in the area. He loved fishing, canoeing, hiking and the great outdoors. Family outings and attending the sporting events of his grandchildren were some of his favorite past-times.

Raymond was born in Harvard, IL on December 30, 1960. He is preceded in death by his father John Willard West, his mother Dorothy West (Bauspie), and brother Steven J. West.

He is survived by his two sisters Susan West (Lovergine) and Pamela West. He was married to Kathleen West (Burmann) for over 40 years. Ray was a devoted father to his two daughters, Kristine (Aaron) Mackey, and Kandice West, and his grandchildren Kanden Vash, Kole Vash, Makayla Mackey, Taylor Mackey, Danielle Mackey, Evan West, Lilly West, and Dakota West.

Ray is deeply loved and greatly missed by his family and friends. His memories will be treasured in our hearts for all time.
