Reba Marcella Kimmell passed away on Saturday, January 24th, 2026 at Grand Brook Memory Care in Greenwood, Indiana. She was born to Marshall and Ruby (Cummins) Edgin on March 4, 1934 in Lawrence County, IL. Reba was the oldest of eight children and helped raise five of her siblings. She graduated from Vincennes Lincoln High School in 1952. Reba married Ray Bryan Kimmell September 21, 1952 and moved to Columbus, Indiana. She raised her three children and worked part time outside of the home but took great pride in being a devoted wife, a loving mom, and an impeccable homemaker. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church and spent many hours participating in United Methodist Women activities. She enjoyed the many family vacations and get togethers, ballroom dancing, Home Economics Club, decorating, and gardening.

Survivors include her three children, Bryan Douglas Kimmell(Lauren), Janice Kaye Kirk(Jeff), and Karen Sue Hauersperger(Dennis), seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Joann Howder, Carol Fields, Linda Waller, Dennis Edgin, and Kathy Edgin Burch as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceding Reba in death were her parents, her loving husband, brother Larry, and sister Donna.

Friends may visit with Reba's family from 11:00 am until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN 47591. Reba will be laid to rest next to her husband Bryan in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the Kimmell family has requested memorial contributions be made to the The Elephant Sanctuary, 27 E.
