Rex

Larry "Rex" Racey, 82, of Bicknell, IN passed away surrounded by his loving family on March 24, 2024. He was born in Bicknell, IN on September 22, 1941, to the late Earl and Bethel Racey. He graduated from Wheatland High School in 1960. Rex worked for 15+ years for the City of Bicknell. He married Janet Ann Cross on March 5, 1982.

In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his family and being outside.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sons-in-law Tim Hill and Bruce Gahimer; siblings Jerry Racey, Lester Racey, Robert Racey, and Kay Payne.

Rex is survived by his wife Janet Racey; children Susan (John Holland) Hill, John (Frieda) Orchard, Ellen Gahimer; grandchildren Tonya (Steve) Myles, Daniel (Jamies) Livers, Ashley (Bradley Mullins) Orchard, Nick Orchard, Brittany (April) Racey, Jennifer (Danny) Nail; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and 1 on the way.

Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Racey. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
