Richard Slater

Richard "Rick" Slater, 60, of Vincennes, passed away on Sept. 26, 2015 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.Rick had worked as a security guard for TSA, and most recently had worked at Far Best Foods. He was an Air Force veteran.Born February 5, 1955, in Vincennes, he was the son of Gilbert and Lois Slater. His father preceded him.Surviving is his mother, Lois Pierson, of Port Charlotte, FL; his sisters, Diana Harding and Jamie Cornwell of Port Charlotte, FL; his brothers, Tom Slater of Port Charlotte, FL, and Brian Slater of Phoenix, AZ; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Hough of VA, Jessica Simmons and Amiejo Cornwell of Port Charlotte, FL, Matthew Slater of Vincennes, Treston Slater of Phoenix, AZ, Austin Cornwell of Gainesville, FL, and Trevor Slater of Phoenix, AZ; and several cousins.A memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, at 2:00, at Goodwin Funeral Home.Online condolences may be sent to the family through goodwinfamilyfh.com.
