It is with sadness and love that we announce the passing of our mother, Rita Kay Morgan, who left this world on July 2, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Rita faced her illness with the same strength and determination that defined her life. Even in her most difficult moments, she remained a source of wisdom and unconditional love to her family and those around her. Her resilience inspired everyone who walked beside her during her journey.
Born on August 30, 1940, in Vincennes, IN, Rita lived a life marked by hard work, family time, and quiet strength. She dedicated herself to her family, always helping with practical and wise advice. Her cheerful personality and sense of humor made her a wonderful volunteer at nursing homes and schools during her retirement. For many years Rita made beautiful quilts by hand, giving them to her children and grandchildren as a reminder of her love.
Rita is survived by her two children, Denna M. Renbarger of Carmel, and Jay M. Morgan of Vincennes and siblings, Sandra Lane, John Cline and Bill Rupe. She is also survived by five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Rita was preceded in death by her twin brothers, Larry Frank and Gary Ralph. Her loving husband, Wayne Morgan died in 2022.
Rita was a Christian and will be laid to rest at Memorial Cemetery in Vincennes. A private service will be held at a later date.
