It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Eugene Hennessy, affectionately known as Bob, who left this world peacefully with his family by his side on September 6, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on August 6, 1959, in Terre Haute, Indiana, Bob lit up the lives of all who knew him with his infectious laughter, generous spirit, and love for family.

A proud graduate of the Terre Haute South class of 1978, Bob was a man of many passions. He excelled in sports, playing football and basketball during his high school years, but it was his love of cooking, especially his famous chili and unforgettable Super Bowl parties, that brought joy to countless gatherings with family and friends. He was a devoted fan of the Indianapolis Colts, cheering for them through thick and thin, and found great joy in cruising around town in his beloved red 1989 Corvette, aptly named Ruby, with the top down.

Bob's greatest pride and joy came from his children and grandchildren. He attended every event for his children-Tim, Dawn, Jordan, and Leah-and cherished each moment spent with his grandchildren, Domenick, Tyler, Evie, Caden, Kobe, Summer, Blair, and Kaysyn. Known to many as "Uncle Buck," he had a special bond with his three beloved girls who affectionately called him Daddy Bob.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. Bob is survived by his children Tim (Trisha) Hennessy, Dawn Hennessy, Jordan (Leah R.) Hennessy, and Leah A. (TJ) Sutton; his sister Cheryl Sue (Dave) Ensey; brothers John (Nancy), David (Judy), Carl, and Keith (Melinda) Rader; his ex-wives, Rhonda (Don) Cook, Debra Riggle, Beth Myers, and Rosie (John) Appleby; and grandchildren Domenick, Tyler, Evie, Caden, Kobe, Summer, Blair, and Kaysyn. He is also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom benefited from his wisdom and unwavering support.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Sharon and Wayne Rader; his sisters, Jackie Rudisel and Margaret (Peggy) Barnes; his brother Mark Rader; and his beloved granddaughter, Chloe Hennessy.

A funeral service to honor Bob's life will be held at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway Street, Vincennes on September 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
