Ruth L. Williams

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ruth L. Williams, aged 92, who left us peacefully on October 1, 2025, in Washington, Indiana. Born on February 21, 1933, in Hyannis, Massachusetts, Ruth lived a life filled with love, dedication, and creativity. Ruth is the daughter of Joseph and Adelyn E. (Bassett) Perry. 

Ruth was a proud homemaker, nurturing her family with the utmost care and affection. She had a passion for sewing, often creating beautiful handmade items that reflected her creativity and skill. Ruth took great pride in her role as a housewife, dedicating herself to making her home a warm and welcoming place.She is survived by her beloved sons, Gary Williams, Kerry Williams and his wife Dlsia both of Washington, Steve Williams and his wife Kyong of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Betty Buttencourt; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Meredith Fisler, Carol Ocuish, Josephine Ross, Natalie Monogery, Irene Pachero, her twin brothers, Robert and Ronald Perry and grandchildren, Alma Clark and Joseph Williams. 

Friends may visit with Ruth's family from 11:00 am until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Goodwin-Sievers funeral Home, 2020 State Street, Washington, IN 47501. Her son Steve Williams will officiate and Ruth will be laid to rest in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is privileged and honored to be entrusted with the care of Ruth and her family.
