Samuel Marcroft

Samuel "Sam" A. Marcroft, 69, of Vincennes, IN, passed away April 20, 2019, at his home.Sam was coal miner, and had also worked in maintenance at the mines. Most of his years were spent with Black Beauty and Peabody Coal Companies.He enjoyed fishing and shooting, and was a member of the Wabash Valley Sportsman Club. Sam also liked to travel.Born November 23, 1949, in Vincennes, IN, he was the son of Samuel and Virginia (Sievers) Marcroft. His parents; his wife, Dorothy (Kean) Marcroft who he married June 25, 1972, and who passed away September 11, 2018; and a sister, Toni Henry, preceded him.Surviving is his son, Michael Marcroft and his wife, Tess, of San Antonio, TX; his sister, Tracy Marcroft of Vincennes, IN; his brothers, Chuck Marcroft of Vincennes, IN, and Jeff Marcroft of Arizona; and his grandchildren, Andrew and Christina Marcroft.Friends may visit with Sam's family from 10:00 - 11:00 on Wednesday, at Goodwin Funeral Home.Online condolences may be sent to the family through goodwinfamilyfh.com.
