Sandra Kay Brown, 84, of Vincennes, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at 7:40am at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.

She was born on October 4, 1941, to the late Dorie James Williams and Helen L. Kent in Vincennes, Indiana. Sandra spent her adolescent years growing up in Bruceville, Indiana. She was a graduate of Bruceville High School.

Sandra worked for several years at the Hamilton Glass Factory in Vincennes. She met the love of her life, Fred Brown, while working there, and in 1979 they wed. They shared over 46 years together. After they married, Sandra began being a stay-at-home mom and taking care of the family and household.

She was a member of Community Church of Vincennes and greatly enjoyed attending services. Sandra loved to read books and went to the library often to rent them. She used to help with Generations, where she would assist with anything they needed of her. She was a cat lover and enjoyed their company. Sandra could often be seen having a good time with her three friends, Lisa, Sue and Crystal. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorie and Helen.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Fred Brown; her children, Tony Morgan, James Brown, Deron Morgan and his wife Micah; her step-daughter, Pam Whitehead and her husband Bill; her grandchildren, David Morgan, Olivia Morgan, John Morgan and his wife Cierra, Cade Bowman, William Bowman, Autumn Morgan, Brianna Morgan, Amanda Thompson, and Josh Whitehead and his wife April; her great-grandchildren, Aiden Morgan, Lily Morgan, Arthur Morgan, Landon and Finland, Luke Whitehead, Jack Whitehead Brooke Whitehead, Liberty Thompson, and Paige Moore..

Visitation for Sandra will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 10:00am-1:00pm ET at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home 524 Broadway St., Vincennes, IN 47591. The funeral will begin at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
