Mrs. Sarah (Sally) Hurst Keller, Palmyra Township, Knox County, passed on April 8, 2026, at her home. Sally was born May 1, 1932, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Alfred Coulter Hurst III and Persis McClure Hurst. She was married to Richard L. Keller, who preceded her in death in 1989.

Sally was a 1954 graduate of the College of William and Mary and retired from the Central Intelligence Agency after 30 years of service. She was a member and past Regent of Francis Vigo Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, member and past president of the Fortnightly Club, Garden Club, Vincennes Historical Society, and member of the Old Cathedral.

Sally enjoyed tutoring local students, volunteering at the Indiana Military Museum, Good Samaritan Hospital, and the Library Literacy Program.

Survivors include a brother, Alfred C. (Jean) Hurst IV, nephews Alfred C. Hurst V, Stephen M.(Jacqueline) Hurst, Matthew McClure (Amy) Hurst, five great nephews, and three great nieces. Those who have passed before her include her parents, husband, and brother James T. Hurst. 

A "Celebration of Life" service will be held at a future date. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Sarah and her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Indiana Military Museum, Upper Indiana Cemetery, or the Knox County Community Foundation Persis Hurst Scholarship Fund.
