Shelby Joseph Fall Jr., 87, of Vincennes, IN, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.

He was born on November 8, 1938, to the late Shelby Fall Sr. & Carrie (Babineaux) Fall in Lawtell, Louisiana.

Shelby spent his childhood and adolescence in Lawtell and graduated from Lawtell High School in 1956. Following high school, he went on to serve his country in the United States Marine Corp.

On May 1,1981, Shelby married the love of his life, Pat (Felton) Fall, and they shared over 46 years together.

Shelby worked as a pipeline supervisor for Sheehan Pipeline Construction out of Tulsa, OK, and he spent over 56 years with the company up until his retirement. He simply loved to work, but only if it was on the pipeline. In his free time, when he wasn’t working, Shelby enjoyed watching GRIT, Inspiration, and western tv shows and movies.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Shelby Sr. and Carrie Fall.

Survivors of Shelby include his wife, Pat Fall; his children, Dr. Renee Fallhowe and her husband Bruce, Michael Fall and his wife Carla, and André Fall and his wife Cindy; his step-son, Allan Shidler, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; his siblings, J.C. Fau l, Murry Fall, Larry Fall, Fernand Fall and his wife Millie, Deanna Albert and her husband Raymond; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Shelby will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 12:00-2:00pm ET at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home 524 Broadway St., Vincennes, IN 47591. The funeral service will begin at 2:00pm ET at the funeral home, and it will be livestreamed and available on his online obituary posting. Shelby will be laid to rest following the service at White House Cemetery in Bridgeport, IL.
