Shirley J. Clark, 90, of Washington, Indiana went to be with the Lord on December 22, 2025. She was born in Princeton, Indiana on December 4, 1935, to the late William and Grace Wildt. Shirley married, the love of her life, James O. Clark on February 15, 1953. She was a devoted member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Vincennes and often taught Sunday school for them. Shirley worked for GC Murphy's store for 20 years before their closure but continued her career with Walmart for an additional 15 years.
In her free time she enjoyed cooking and was famous for her homemade noodles. She also enjoyed camping, canning, tending to her flowers and vegetable garden, and spending time with her family. She will be so deeply missed by all.
She is survived by her husband, of 72 years, James O. Clark; son and daughter-in-law James W. and Sandra Clark; grandchildren Jason Clark, Jeremy (Tammy) Clark, Tiffany (Joshua) Scherschel, Debra (Travis) Montgomery, James E. (Hallie) Clark, Myleah (Colton) Adams; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sibling Judy Larson, Vicki Elpers, Jo Ellen (Earl) Martin; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents William and Grace Wildt; daughter and son-in-law Cynthia and Rev. Tony Frankum; infant daughter Debra Lynn Clark; siblings Virginia Fisher, Lois King, Darwin Grimm, Carolyn Marshall, Virgil Wildt, Linda White, Michael Wildt, Larry Wildt.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Clark. Visitation will be held Monday, December 29, 2025, 4-8 pm and Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 10-11 at 2020 State Street. The Funeral Service will begin promptly at 11 am with burial at Aikman Creek Cemetery immediately following.
