Sue Jane McClain

Sue Jane McClain, 83, of Vincennes, IN passed away May 29, 2025. She was born in Lawrenceville, IL on January 18, 1942, to the late James and Carita (Niver) Crews. She graduated from Lawrenceville High School. She married the love of her life Don McClain. Sue worked as a bank teller with American National before they were purchased and became Regions where she worked before retiring. Sue was a member of the First Christian Church. In her free time she enjoyed shopping for anyone and everyone she loved. She will be deeply missed.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents James and Carita Crews; husband Don McClain; daughter Dana Alsman; great-granddaughter Wyonna "Winnie" McClain.

She is survived by her son Kent (Stefanie) McClain; grandchildren Colin Alsman, Caitlin (Tyler) Kuppler, Chloe (Logan Strange) Alsman, Jacob (Kelsie) McClain, Hannah (Cody) Daniels, Jackson (Catherine Hagan) McClain; great-grandchildren Barret and Owen Kuppler, Stetson McClain, and Archer Daniels; son-in-law Dwayne Alsman.

Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. McClain. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 12-2 pm at 524 Broadway Street. A Funeral Service will begin promptly at 2 pm with burial at Memorial Park to follow.
