Timothy Donald Bartlett, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and devoted friend, passed away on June 23, 2026, at the age of 70. Born on August 9, 1955, Timothy lived a remarkable life enriched by his dedication to family, his profession, and the world of equine sports.

Timothy grew up surrounded by family and values that guided him throughout his life. The influence of his parents, the late Donald and Elisabeth Bartlett, and the memories of his late sister Claudia Smith, endured as cornerstones of the man he became. He cherished time with loved ones, maintaining close bonds with his surviving sister Ann (Doug) Hannoy, who shared in his joys and sorrows.

After graduating from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1981, Timothy embarked on a distinguished career as an equine veterinarian, dedicating three decades to the care, health, and well-being of horses. His passion for the equine world extended well beyond his veterinary practice. Timothy was a well-known horse breeder and judge, passionately involved in the competitive reining community. He was an approved National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) judge and served as a past president of the NRHA. His expertise and commitment earned him significant recognition, including induction into the NRHA Hall of Fame, a testament to both his impact on the sport and his unwavering integrity.

Timothy was also an American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) Approved Restricted Reining Judge, a lifetime member of the AQHA, and a dedicated presence in both the American Association of Equine Practitioners and the Indiana Association of Equine Practitioners, where he once served as president. He was a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, respected for his deep knowledge and tireless advocacy. He also served as the District 10 regional veterinarian and director of equine programs for the Indiana Board of Animal Health.

Above all, Timothy's greatest source of pride was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kim Bartlett, whose partnership and devotion spanned the years. He was a caring and supportive father to Talmage (Lizelle) Bartlett and Kelsey (Justin) Roberts, and a doting grandfather to his grandson Theo Bartlett. His guidance, patience, and enduring love will be deeply missed by those closest to him, and his legacy will endure in their hearts.

Friends, colleagues, and all who knew Timothy are invited to gather in his memory at Goodwin-Sievers Family Funeral Home in Vincennes. A visitation will be held on July 2, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., both taking place at 524 Broadway Street, Vincennes, IN 47591.

Timothy Donald Bartlett will be remembered for his professional excellence, his commitment to the equine world, and-most of all-for the warmth, wisdom, and love he shared with his family and all who had the privilege to know him. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the community he helped shape.

Goodwin-Sievers is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Tim and his family.
