Vicki L. Davis

Vicki Davis (Boyles),60, passed away on May 3rd, 2025, at St Vincents Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Vicki was born on July 21, 1964, in Vincennes, Indiana.

Vicki is survived her mother, Janice K Boyles (Holder), and her brother Jim Boyles and was preceded in death by her father James (Jim) M. Boyles.

A loving and generous friend, sister and daughter, Vicki was positive in spirit despite long term health problems. Since 2019 Vicki resided in Indianapolis at Crestwood Village North senior apartments and was surrounded by many caring and close friends. Vicki enjoyed card games with the “blue hairs”, going out to eat, attending church and Bible study, celebrating birthdays and watching movies with her community of friends. The kindness demonstrated by the Crestwood community will always be treasured and appreciated.

A 1982 graduate of Vincennes Lincoln High School, Vicki went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree in social work at Indiana State in 1986 and was also pursuing her online master’s degree from the University of Arizona. Vicki was an avid “researcher”, wrote several medical papers for school, and worked as a case worker for some time with Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.

Vicki was the beneficiary of a double transplant almost 20 years ago at University Hospital in Indianapolis. The transplant was instrumental in helping her with her battle with Type 1 diabetes and allowed her to continue living her life to the fullest. Our family is forever grateful for the IU Health medical community and all donor families.

Our family will celebrate Vicki at a graveyard service at Wildwood Cemetery just outside of Vincennes, on May 16, 2025, at 1pm. Close friends are welcome to attend the service.

In lieu of flowers, we request donations in Vicki’s name be directed to the Vincennes Animal Shelter

May God rest her soul, and we pray that she finds peace and happiness she richly deserves in heaven above.
