It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of William R. Stevens, affectionately known as Bill, who departed this life on October 29, 2025. Born on October 2, 1949, in Vincennes he is the son of Robert and Beatrice (Pipher) Stevens. He married Janet Konen on June 22, 1992.

A proud veteran, Bill served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era, a commitment that shaped his character and instilled in him a sense of duty to others. After returning home, he embraced a career as a self-employed building contractor. Bill was a devoted member of Thursday Church and actively participated in various organizations, including the Moose, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), the American Legion and the Wabash Valley Sportman's Club. He found joy and camaraderie among fellow members, sharing tales and laughter that enriched his life and those around him.

As a fervent supporter of Indiana University, Bill wore his team colors with pride, passionately cheering them on during each season. He was also an avid bowler and enjoyed bonding with friends over games of billiards and rounds of golf. Music and automobiles were two of his great loves; Bill took great joy in restoring a 1972 Nova, an emblem of his dedication and craftsmanship. He was also an avid Indianapolis Colts fan.
