William Alfred Wheeler, 62, of 1328 Busseron Street, Vincennes, passed away at 3:57 am Thursday May 14, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital.He was born December 9, 1952 in Vincennes, to William E. and Mary Gladys (Nardine) Wheeler.William retired from Vincennes University and was a member of the Old Cathedral Catholic Church. He graduated from Kemper Military School and College.Surviving is his mother, Mary Gladys Wheeler of Vincennes; his sisters, Dr. Lisa (Dr. Jeffrey) Lewis of Farmington Hills, MI, and Maria (Dr. Bret) Avra of Paducah, Kentucky; his niece, Charlotte Lewis; and his companion, Paula Smith.He was preceded in death by his father, William E. Wheeler.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Saturday May 16, 2015 at Old Cathedral Catholic Church with Rev. David Fleck celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
