It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yu Hua Calcutt, who left us on June 3, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on June 12, 1952, in Taichung, Tawain she is the daughter of Chung Fu Huang and Meijen Wu. She married Jim Calcutt on June 21, 1975. 

Yu was a passionate traveler, always eager to explore new places and cultures. Her adventures around the world enriched her life and those who were lucky enough to hear her stories. In addition to her love for travel, Yu was an exceptional cook. Her culinary creations brought joy and comfort to family and friends, made with a magical touch that reflected her generous spirit.

Beyond her personal pursuits, Yu dedicated many years to volunteering as a hospital clown, bringing smiles and laughter to those in need of comfort. Her compassionate heart and playful nature made a significant impact on her community, embodying the joy she sought to spread wherever she went.

Survivors include her husband Jim Calcutt of Vincennes; daughter, Kimberly McQueen and her husband Joshua of Moore, OK; son Jason Calcutt and his girlfriend Tasha of St. Rosa Beach, FL; her brothers, Cheng Ruei Huang, Gong Ruei Huang; sister, Yu Hua Huang; grandchidren, Kalisa Shannon McQueen, Naomi Joanna McQueen, and Asher Ellis McQueen. Yu is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Jhong Ruei Huang.

In celebration of her life, a public viewing will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm at the conclusion of visitation. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is privileged and honored to be entrusted with the care of Yu and her family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Heart Association.
